Tea and coffee drinkers have been bowled over by a 'game changer' Alexa smart kettle, which they say has completely revolutionised the way they make hot drinks. The rapid boil kettle can be scheduled to boil water at any time, and will keep it warm - a function which could help to significantly reduce energy bills in the cold winter months.

The Smart Kettle by WeeKett normally costs £99.99, but for a limited time it's been reduced down to less than £60, at a more budget-friendly price of £59.62. That makes it cheaper than models from rivals Ninja, where the Stainless Steel Rapid Boil Perfect Temperature Kettle remains at £99.99, and Swan's £59.99 Swan Alexa 1.5 Litre Smart Kettle, which we reviewed earlier this week.

The kettle can be connected to multiple home devices, including Google and Siri via Shortcuts, as well as Amazon Alexa. That means you can order it to boil without even having to leave your bed or sofa - or on the way home from the supermarket so there's boiling water ready for a piping hot cup of tea or coffee as soon as you get in.

The rapid boil kettle can be scheduled to boil anytime, wherever you are. It also has a keep warm function, which will help to minimise on electricity bills, as you won't need to keep reboiling your water.

For parents, there's a baby bottle programme, which can be shared with family members for anyone who may be looking after the little one. There's also a water gauge on both sides - a rare but handy find for left-handed people.

For practicality, the kettle comes with boil Dry Protection. There's also a 40 to 100°C temperature range meaning water can be heated up to the perfect temperature depending on what you're drinking - whether it be baby milk, tea, coffee, a chai latte or hot chocolate.

One person who tried the kettle raved: "It is wonderful to have hot water soon as I get to the kitchen instead of waiting for what seems forever on a cold morning for the kettle to boil. Also so much nicer to save moments delaying me watching TV to get a brew without waiting in the evening.
