Events agent Imelda was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in November 2020. Since her diagnosis, her and husband Mani have hosted a number of charity auctions to raise money for the likes of The Christie Hospital, The Stockport Charitable Trust and Maggie’s.

Their most recent auction was held in September at The Edwardian Radisson hotel and auctioned off a number of items including football boots worn by David Beckham and a signed snare drum head from Zak and Ringo Starr.

Ahead of the auction, Imelda explained why she had chosen to donate proceeds from the latest auction to cancer support charity Maggie’s. She said: "Maggie's charity has supported us from the start, with counselling and using resources to help explain to our children the enormity of cancer and its effects on the whole family. It's a continuing battle for me, and I'll be using their services more in the future."

Amongst those paying tribute to Imelda following the news of her passing included Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown who wrote: “RIP @imeldamounfield. GOD BLESS MANI and his boys X”

Happy Mondays drummer Gaz Whelan said: “Woke up to messages ...absolutely gutted..this time last year we were all together on holiday.... Like Mani says..Manchester music family we are one .... So loved the whole family..... PEACE xx”.
