Video footage showed the chaotic scenes at a train station as football fans clashed with police following the Bolton Wanderers v Blackpool match.

Officers said 'football-related disorder' unfolded at Horwich Parkway station at around 5.30pm on Saturday (November 11). Fireworks and bottles were thrown by some fans inside the station.

Footage showed a number of officers guarding a train while violence broke out on the platform. A spokesperson for British Transport Police said 'officers spoke with a man who had been injured'.

No arrests were made, the spokesperson added. Earlier that afternoon, Bolton Wanderers beat Blackpool 1-0 at home at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

The BTP spokesperson said: "At 5.30pm on Saturday (11 November), British Transport Police were called to Horwich Parkway Railway station following reports of football-related disorder. Fireworks and bottles were thrown by fans at the station.

"Officers spoke with a man who had been injured. No arrests were made."
