The Black Friday shopping season may just be one of the best times to invest in a worktop coffee machine, whether you enjoy a morning latte, espresso, or cappuccino there are heaps of brands cutting their prices. Now Amazon has dropped a huge £70 off a popular De'Longhi machine which drinkers say makes a great at-home brew with some going as far to say it's just as good as Starbucks.

It's all part fo Amazon's whirlwind Black Friday discounts, which it propelled to eager shoppers early today (November 17) a week ahead of the official date next Friday, November 24. And as Nespresso, Salter, Tassimo and Breville coffee machines prove popular this year the Prime retailer has gone with an affordable De'Longhi model.

It's now £70 cheaper as the price is reduced from an original £109.99 to just £39.99, making it one of the cheapest pod-style coffee makers on the market. Usually, it's recommended for shoppers to spend time comparing the prices on a deal before heading straight to a checkout but this £39.99 is expected to fly off the shelves, as John Lewis and Nescafe are already out of stock.

The De'Longhi machine uses pre-grounded pods to brew coffees at home, which can be filtered into different cup sizes depending on the style of coffee you'd usually go for. Whether it's a short espresso, medium flat white or larger latte.

It is said to be simple to use thanks to its 'press and go' style, so once you've popped a pod in you can have a hot drink within a matter of minutes. Unlike higher-end models from Nespresso or bean-to-cup models from Breville the machine doesn't come with an attached steam wand, but this hasn't stopped previous shoppers from raving about the product.

One person goes as far as to say it makes coffee just like a very popular takeaway chain, they said: "Absolutely delighted with this product, very easy to use and like Starbucks it makes an amazing latte or cappuccino." They went on further to score it a 10/10.

Another shopper commented under the Amazon listing by recommending the array of flavoured Dolce Gusto pods. They said: "This little machine is my first taste of coffee pods. I did a little research and Dolce Gusto seemed to be the best value for money pods with a wide variety choice.

"All the big names make pods for this. The machine is an excellent first step into coffee pods.... it is so simple to use and makes coffee in around a minute."
