Emily Eavis says headline speculation ‘untrue’

It is not yet known who will headline the five-night festival, but organiser Emily Eavis teased that a huge US artist could be on the cards.

Earlier this month speculation was rife that that Madonna, Dua Lipa and Coldplay will top the bill on the Pyramid Stage at the world-famous event. However Eavis put the claims to bed in an Instagram post on Sunday, November 5, s she said the line-up is “still changing every day”.

She wrote: “As always, there is much speculation and excitement about who is playing at Glastonbury.

“We are working on the line-up day and night at the moment, but it’s still changing every day.

“The story about our confirmed headliners is untrue.

“As always, we love your enthusiasm and guesswork – but accurate news on headliners will be with you sometime in the new year!”

Eavis recently said on the BBC podcast Sidetracked that the line-up for the 2024 festival, taking place from June 26-30, is still “a little up in the air” but she hopes there will be two female headliners.

She also revealed that a major female artist has been booked for the Legends slot, but did not disclose who.

How to buy Glastonbury tickets

To buy tickets to the iconic Worthy Farm event, hopefuls needed to preregister. Registration closed at 5pm on Monday November 13.

Tickets will be sold exclusively at glastonbury.seetickets.com. You may book up to six tickets per transaction by paying a deposit for each person. In order to make a booking you will need the registration number and registered postcode for each person you are booking a ticket for, as well as a valid debit (UK only) or credit card with sufficient funds to cover your full transaction, and all the security information for that card.

Customers have been warned to be careful and enter all details accurately, as any details which don’t match will cause the transaction attempt to fail. The official Glastonbury site notes that registration does not guarantee you a ticket - and in recent years, demand for tickets has outstripped supply.

A limited number of people will be given access to the booking site at any one time. While you are waiting to access the booking site you will be held at this page until there is a space on the booking site for you to start the booking process. The page will automatically refresh to look for space on the booking page every 20 seconds.

Once you reach the first page of the booking site, you will be asked to enter the registration number and registered postcode for the lead booker and up to five other individuals. When you proceed, the details you have provided will be displayed on the next page.

Please check that these are the people you expect to be booking tickets for, as these cannot be changed once you proceed with your booking. If you are booking a ticket and coach travel option, you will be asked to choose the departure town and time.

It is only possible to book tickets from one departure town in a single transaction. Travel on the coach you have selected is mandatory in order to receive your festival ticket, so please only book on routes that are feasible for you.

Once all your information is correct, you can proceed to the payment page. Once you reach the payment page you will have five minutes to submit your payment information.
