An American rapper has postponed the entire European leg of his tour including a show in Manchester next week. Fans have been left disappointed after Playboi Carti's 'Antagonist' tour European dates were postponed at the last minute yesterday (November 16).

The 27-year-old was due to kick off his tour in Dublin on Sunday (November 19), before performing at Manchester's AO Arena on Tuesday (November 21). He was also due to play at The 02 in London before heading to a number of European cities including Brussels, Amsterdam and Milan, before finishing up in Copenhagen in December.

An official press release shared by Playboi Carti's management confirmed the European tour dates would be rescheduled, and that new information on rescheduled dates would be available soon. It also confirmed new music would be coming and a tour would follow that.

The statement in full read: "Today, genre-defying rapper Playboi Carti has announced the UK and Europe dates for his upcoming Antagonist Tour are being rescheduled. More information on rescheduled dates will be available soon.

"Tickets for original dates will be valid for the new dates. Playboi Carti is gearing up for his new album and the Antagonist tour will follow once there is new music to share with fans."

In September, the American rapper also postponed the entire North American leg of his tour. He officially pushed back the dates via his website, but did not publish any news on social media.

On social media platform Reddit, fans expressed their disappointment at the postponement. One wrote: "This sucks… was supposed to go in December for the Copenhagen show, now I just hope the new date wont be in February."

In just a few short years, rapper Playboi Carti has amassed billions of streams worldwide. His self-titled album has accumulated nearly six billion streams to date after debuting at number 12 on the Billboard 200 chart where it spent 63 weeks.

Most recently, Carti teamed up with The Weeknd and Madonna to release their single 'Popular,' assisted Travis Scott on 'FE!N,' and headlined several festivals including Rolling Loud California and Miami, Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash in Chicago and Wireless Festival in London.

Playboi Carti - whose real name is Jordan Carter - has yet to comment on the decision to cancel his European dates.
