Manchester United could 'reignite' their interest in Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot at the end of this season.

That is according to a report by Italian outlet CalcioMercato, which claims United, who will resume their Premier League campaign with a trip to Everton on Sunday are 'always on his trail'. The Reds attempted to sign the Frenchman in August 2022 but the deal collapsed due to his wage demands.

United had agreed a fee with Juventus, understood to be worth £15million, but sources said that he wanted an 'obscene' salary to make the move to Old Trafford. The Reds, of course, turned to Casemiro instead, signing him from Real Madrid.

However, Rabiot, who has been at Juventus since 2019, has continued to be linked with a move to United. He is out-of-contract at the Serie A giants next June after signing a one-year contract extension in the summer.

As a result of his contractual situation in Italy, the midfielder, 28, is once again being linked with a move to M16. It has been claimed the Reds could renew their interest in his signature amid their plan to strengthen their midfield options next summer.

United have identified four key areas that they intend to bolster ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, with the centre of midfield understood to be among them. Concerns have been raised about Casemiro's form so far this season and the need to start sourcing a long-term replacement for the Brazilian international.

Meanwhile, United are said to be 'interested' in signing Wolves winger Pedro Neto. That is according to a report by TEAMtalk, which claims Arsenal are also in the hunt for his signature.

Neto, 23, joined Wolves from Portuguese club Braga in 2019 and has since gone from strength-to-strength, scoring 12 goals and registering 20 assists in 121 appearances. He has made an impressive start to this season, registering seven assists in just 10 Premier League appearances, making him the division's chief architect.

His early-season form, according to the report, has 'drawn a lot of interest', with both Arsenal and United reportedly keen on his signature. The report adds that Erik ten Hag is a 'huge fan', as is Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.

The report also states that clubs in Saudi Arabia are keeping an eye on him. It is claimed that it will take 'at least £60m' for Wolves to even consider the prospect of selling him in the upcoming January window.
