New Look fans are raving about a 'gorgeous' satin slip skirt that has been hailed as 'so flattering' and promises to cover any 'lumps and bumps'. The high-street label's £20 Shine Satin Bias Cut Midaxi Skirt, is proving hugely popular amongst fashion fans, with many saying it is 'made' for wearing with both trainers and winter boots.

The budget £20 New Look skirt has a bias cut, meaning that it has been constructed in a way that gives the fabric more of an elastic stretch, making it both easy and comfortable to wear. It is also high waisted, which helps to create a flattering, hourglass silhouette on any body shape.

Because of its simple design, the budget New Look skirt is perfect for wearing with a t-shirt and trainers for a casual look. Alternatively, it can be paired with a cardigan and some heeled boots for a more dressed-up look.

The skirt, which is also available in ten other colours including black, dark green, gold, and camel has been slashed to £20 from £25.99 as part of New Look's early Black Friday sale. The sought-after satin skirt comes in sizes six to 22 and is a midaxi length, meaning it should fall between the mid-calf and ankle, depending on your height.

The satin skirts have garnered a fantastic average rating of 4.8 stars out of five, from over 380 reviews. One person wrote: "Lovely skirt for the price. Very flattering and the cut is amazing. Will definitely get in another colour."

A second penned: "I never normally write reviews but this skirt is lovely, elasticated waist and lovely cut, can be dressed up or down with trainer or heels...have already purchased it in grey."

And another said: Gorgeous skirt, satin material but not super shiny which I prefer. Waist band isn’t gathered so tucking in looks great. Looks more expensive than price suggests. I’m 5ft 6ins and it’s below mid calf length. Can't wait to wear with smart boots or trainers and knitwear but also perfect to dress up for smart evening use."

Another said: "Lovely flattering cut and shade of soft gold. Bought this for the festive season but will still be able to wear this next year. Just be careful if wearing jewellery as this material catches easily."

One reviewer gave the skirt a three-rating because of the length. She said: "Nice skirt, beautiful colour, a little clingy but in a flattering way, unfortunately a bit long for me, I'm 5ft 1ins but getting it taken up."

A second person said they did not keep the skirt due to the length. The New Look shopper added: "The skirt is beautiful and the colour is lovely but too long for me so had to return."

But another added: "Beautiful material. Love the colour so much. Very flattering cut. I've had many compliments on it."

Or you could pick up the Satin Midaxi Slip Skirt from Marks and Spencer for £35. Also available in chocolate and limeade, the skirts, which has been seen on ITV presenter, Frankie Bridge, are available in sizes six to 24, although some sizes are selling out fast.
