A new popular homeware store is set to open its doors in Greater Manchester this week. The Range, which sells leisure, garden and home products, will open a new site in Salford on Friday, November 24. It can be found at Ellesmere retail park in Walkden, with the grand opening taking place at 9am.
The first 50 customers in the queue will get their hands on a goodie bag, while the very first person through the doors will receive a kitchen electrical bundle. Those who are unable to make opening day are still in with a chance of winning a £250 gift card or a Crafter's Companion's popular Gemini 2 die cutting and embossing machine with an instore competition, running until December 10.

As well as The Range's usual offerings - including home décor to cleaning essentials and kitchenware to soft furnishings - the store will feature the shop's signature Christmas department, so shoppers can stock up on festive trees, lights and colourful decorations.
The new Walkden site is the first of four branches to be opening across England ahead of Christmas. The home, garden and leisure retailer already has 210 stores nationwide, stocking more than 140,000 handy products, from DIY essentials to arts and crafts.
Bosses announced in September that four new sites would be opening in November and December. Chelmsford and Leamington Spa's new stores open on Friday December 1, while Oswestry's opens on Friday December 8.

The Chelmsford opening will become the retailer's new southern flagship store, based on Chelmsford High Street. The historic unit will house a Range Kitchens showroom and the new Cafe 89, combining great-value breakfasts and lunches with a conversational town square style eatery.
The Range Walkden opens at 9am on Friday November 24 at Unit G2, Ellesmere Retail Park, New Ellesmere Approach, Worsley, M28 3UD.
