A cosy underground Christmas grotto for adults has opened in the city centre - and it features candy cane cocktails, mulled wine and a comforting fireplace to unwind.

Popping up in the basement of Salt Dog Slims on Bow Lane just off Albert Square, Miracle on Cross Street returns for a third year to provide a welcoming winter atmosphere for adults to enjoy each other’s company alongside festive drinks and a soundtrack packed full of Christmas music.

On the menu include cocktails such as a Candy Cane Spritz and a Gingerbread Old Fashioned, alongside boozy hot chocolate, Bailey’s and, perhaps best of all, unlimited mince pies.
