Music fans finally have a chance to secure Glastonbury Festival tickets this week after the initial sales were pushed back. Earlier this month, festival organisers announced it would push back ticket sales for next year's event by two weeks just hours before the first ones were supposed to go on sale on November 2.

Bosses said the move had been made to "ensure that everyone who would like to buy a ticket is registered and therefore eligible to purchase" tickets. Irate fans went on to call the last-minute change a 'joke', with many taking to X, formerly Twitter, to vent their anger.

Tickets and coach travel packages go on sale this evening (Thursday November 16), while general admission tickets are available to buy from Sunday, November 19. The tickets were originally meant to go on sale on Thursday November 2 and Sunday November 5.

To buy tickets to the iconic Worthy Farm event, hopefuls needed to preregister. Registration closed at 5pm on Monday November 13.

Demand is so high for the popular festival, which takes place between Wednesday June 26 and Sunday June 30, that it is famously difficult to secure tickets for. It is not yet known who will headline the five-night festival, but organiser Emily Eavis teased that a huge US artist could be on the cards.

Here's all you need to know about Glastonbury ticket sales this week...

What time do the tickets go on sale?

Tickets and coach travel go on sale at 6pm on Thursday, November 16. General admission tickets go live at 5pm on Sunday, November 19.

How much are tickets?

Tickets cost £355 plus a £5 booking fee, of which a £75 deposit (plus coach fare if booking a ticket and coach travel option) is payable when booking in November, with the balance payable in the first week of April 2024.

Where and how can I buy tickets?

Tickets will be sold exclusively at glastonbury.seetickets.com. See Tickets is the only site selling Glastonbury tickets.

You may book up to six tickets per transaction by paying a deposit for each person. In order to make a booking you will need the registration number and registered postcode for each person you are booking a ticket for, as well as a valid debit (UK only) or credit card with sufficient funds to cover your full transaction, and all the security information for that card.

Customers have been warned to be careful and enter all details accurately, as any details which don’t match will cause the transaction attempt to fail. The official Glastonbury site notes that registration does not guarantee you a ticket - and in recent years, demand for tickets has outstripped supply.

A limited number of people will be given access to the booking site at any one time. While you are waiting to access the booking site you will be held at this page until there is a space on the booking site for you to start the booking process. The page will automatically refresh to look for space on the booking page every 20 seconds.

Tickets are in high demand

If the amount of traffic on the website is particularly high, you may see a reduced version of the See Tickets booking site, with a minimal version of the holding page. This does not mean the site has crashed.

Once you reach the first page of the booking site, you will be asked to enter the registration number and registered postcode for the lead booker and up to five other individuals. When you proceed, the details you have provided will be displayed on the next page.

Please check that these are the people you expect to be booking tickets for, as these cannot be changed once you proceed with your booking. If you are booking a ticket and coach travel option, you will be asked to choose the departure town and time.

It is only possible to book tickets from one departure town in a single transaction. Travel on the coach you have selected is mandatory in order to receive your festival ticket, so please only book on routes that are feasible for you.

Once all your information is correct, you can proceed to the payment page. Once you reach the payment page you will have five minutes to submit your payment information.
